“Two Profitable, Efficient and Inexpensive Restorative Techniques to Provide Quality Transitional Care During the COVID-19 Crisis” by Jack Ringer, DDS, FAACD

The focus of this presentation is to show two existing chairside clinical techniques that can be adapted to dental practices transitioning through the COVID-19 crisis. Utilizing a relatively new long-term provisional material for indirect restorations as well as a matrix system for direct restorations, these two treatment modalities allow the practitioner to provide efficient and less expensive options to offer their patients who may be concerned about their personal situation as a result of the COVID-19 crisis.

“Successful Outcomes through Successful Communication” by John Hunzicker of Killian Dental Ceramics

The focus of this lecture will be on raising awareness of the importance of effective communication in order to produce successful restorative outcomes and increased patient satisfaction. Concrete tools and practices will be offered that can improve the quality of communication between doctor and technician as well as being useful in our daily lives outside of the work environment. Topics will include material selection, case planning, shade communication, and managing patient expectations. Other topics to be included may be use of digital technology to improve communication accuracy, and overview of communication theory as it relates to the dental field and our daily lives.
